Specialist skills or training our staff have
We have staff who have completed training in, Safeguarding, First aid, Food safety, Emotion coaching and Healthy eating for under fives
Support we offer regarding children's health and well-being
We support personal, social and emotional development through play and routine. Our designated safeguarding officer is Vicki Richards, she has attended level 3 multi agency child protection, risk assessments for all activities are carried out, the room is divided into separate areas to include a quiet area. We do have an open door policy enabling us to stay informed of home circumstances. We provide the parents with a copy of the two year progress check to share with the health visitors. When necessary TAC meetings are arranged with the local teams. We have an effective key worker system in place enabling us to liase with families.
Ways we inform parents about how their child is being supported
We hold termly parent consultations to discuss children's progress but are happy to discuss progress at any time, during these meetings we share learning journeys and summative assessments and discuss next steps with the parents, Parents are invited to contribute to their child's learning journeys ie. wow sheets. We send out regular newsletters to keep parents informed, and display a How we support your child board in the setting, We hold family days to provide a sense of community, Planning and policies are available for all parents to view.
Our complaints policy
We work with parent to resolve any issues they may have, however when this is not possible we provide them with a copy of our complaints policy.
